00:00Here in victory lane at Homestead Miami Speedway with the winning crew chief who is officially going to the championship for Billy Scott
00:06The strategy played out
00:08Perfectly for the 45. Can you talk me through that closing strategy in the last stage?
00:12Yeah
00:12We weren't sure at the time really how it was but then kind of realized after we you know
00:16Once it cycled there and everybody had a pit that we were sitting on their shot at it
00:20so, you know, we were running fourth fifth right there and
00:23racing all guys that are in either a must win or right there on the cut line and
00:29Some of the best here, right?
00:30So we knew we were not gonna be able to probably jump them or just drive up there and go by them on the closings
00:36You know closing laps there after a green flag cycle
00:38so kind of just thought our only choice was to do something different and
00:42Hope to have a break go our way and like you said, thankfully it did
00:46You guys started on the pole for this race and talk about the jolt of momentum
00:49Right when you need it the most because your next race that you'll even give a thought to will be Phoenix for a championship
00:55But what is next next week look like and prepping to make sure that Martinsville you guys have a solid race
01:00But then also we focus on the championship. Yeah, I mean you said it right Martinsville is what it is
01:05We'll go there and give our best but you know haven't had this momentum coming in. We don't want to lose that either
01:10I think the last three races. We've got won the first stage started from the front row
01:15Just fortunately this one went better stages two and three than the last couple have well Willie Scott welcome to the championship for thank you
01:23very much
