00:00to be one of the teams of
00:03destiny this season to me.
00:05Well, like you said, unbelievable ending.
00:07Also an unbelievable opportunity for me to use
00:10Tariq Stevenson to teach my oldest son about karma
00:13and how that can really work against you.
00:16If anyone missed the video of him out there just
00:19taunting the fans, not paying attention at the end
00:22of the game that, oh crap, they snapped the ball.
00:25I got to go jump into the midfield.
00:28I got to go jump into the middle of the fray.
00:31And he is the one that tipped the ball, obviously,
00:33into the hands of the player
00:36that made the winning catch there for the commanders.
00:39To your point, I think that
00:42you could look at this game in a variety of different ways
00:44in terms of ultimately how it ended.
00:47Did one team really deserve the game more than the other?
00:50I mean, neither team played particularly great,
00:53certainly not offensively.
00:55I thought that Chicago was a team
00:58that just hung around long enough.
01:01Washington gave the Bears so many opportunities
01:04and obviously stalling out repeatedly in the red zone,
01:07being held to field goal after field goal.
01:10It felt like the Bears were going to win.
01:12And then when they finally took that lead,
01:14for them to, in the final 25 seconds,
01:17whatever it was, obviously give it back on the Hail Mary,
01:20it did feel a little, to use the word again,
01:23I guess, karmatic about these commanders
01:26and what they are in the process of doing this year.
01:29Because Jaden Daniels was by no means exceptional
01:32in his return from that injury the week prior.
01:35He was good when he had to be, ultimately.
01:38But we went weeks not seeing this team punt,
01:41it felt like, let alone not scoring touchdowns out there.
01:44And they finally kind of had their offensive woes.
01:48But yeah, I mean, had that team lost
01:51and fallen the half game behind the Eagles and the NFC East
01:55and just how jam-packed that division is.
01:57The Cowboys obviously do what they did last night.
02:00It would have felt like a kind of a photo finish in the making
02:04right around halfway through this season.
02:06But to win that game as improbably as Washington did
02:10and showing its versatility both offensively and defensively
02:13and clearly a little bit of luck there at the end,
02:16it feels like we're looking at Washington winning the NFC East.
02:20And that is just an inevitability.
02:22And sure, you may have multiple teams in that division
02:25make the playoffs, but there is.
02:27Maybe it's getting rid of Dan Snyder, I don't know.
02:29But there is something special that is going on there with that team.
