00:00Recently, at a Trump rally in New York, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe told this off-color joke.
00:05There's a lot going on. Like, I don't know if you guys know this, but there's literally
00:08a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now.
00:12Yeah, I think it's called Puerto Rico.
00:14It wasn't the only racist remark he made either, poking fun at both Latino immigrants,
00:19as well as making a watermelon joke at the expense of black Americans.
00:23Even Donald Trump's campaign has attempted to distance itself from the comments,
00:27with one of its senior advisors, Daniel Alvarez, saying in a statement,
00:31This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign.
00:36Now Trump's running mate, J.D. Vance, is trying to do damage control.
00:39Now, I've heard about the joke. I haven't actually seen the joke that you mentioned,
00:44but I think that it's telling that Kamala Harris's closing message is essentially
00:50that all of Donald Trump's voters are Nazis,
00:53and you should get really pissed off about a comedian telling a joke.
00:56And my response was, can we all just take a chill pill and take a joke from time to time?
01:01This is ridiculous.
01:02It's worth mentioning that Harris has never called American voters Nazis,
01:06though she has more recently agreed that Donald Trump and his dangerous rhetoric
01:09is fascist. In fact, even at Trump's rally,
01:12Hinchcliffe did not get the warm reception he expected.
01:17Okay. All right. Okay. We're getting there.
