00:00The Department of Labor and Employment, or DoLE, has announced the payrolls for the upcoming
00:04holidays, reminding employers to pay workers correctly for working on November 1, 2, and 30.
00:11According to DoLE Secretary Bienvenido La Guesma, if an employee does not work,
00:17he or she usually won't get paid unless the company has a policy that says otherwise.
00:23Employees working up to eight hours get basic wage pay, plus an extra 30 percent.
00:29While working over eight hours receive an additional 30 percent.
00:33Those working on rest day will get 150 percent of the basic wage.
00:39Meanwhile, for Bonifacio Day, which is a regular holiday,
00:43employees get 100 percent of their wage if they worked or were on paid leave the day before.
00:50Those who work will pay 200 percent of their wage for the day.
00:54An additional 30 percent of the hourly rate is paid for extra hours.
00:59And those who will work on their rest day will get a 200 percent,
01:03plus an extra 30 percent, for any hours over eight.
