A recent Carmoola survey found that one in twenty British people believe over-50s should have their licences revoked due to old age. What are your thoughts on setting age-based limits for drivers?
Transcript
00:00Well, age base for drivers, yes, but I think over 50 is a bit harsh.
00:07To be honest, I think 50 plus drivers, they've got the experience.
00:12I drive myself, I'm actually over 70.
00:16Your licence, they last for three years.
00:19Once you're 70, you have to renew it every three years anyway, OK?
00:23I'd say 75.
00:25But I think as they get to, like, maybe 70, 75,
00:30maybe go and see someone, talk,
00:34have a little drive around and see how they are.
00:38But I'm sorry, you know, I'm...
00:40Youngsters, I see people driving cars every day
00:43who shouldn't be on the road, I don't think,
00:45and they're well under 50.
00:47So to say people over 50 can't drive is absolutely ridiculous.
00:52I reckon they should go for another test.
00:54As they get older, every two or three years,
00:58go for a driving test.
