A recent survey found that one in twenty British people believe over-50s should have their licences revoked due to old age. What are your thoughts on setting age-based limits for drivers, or asking older drivers to resit their test?

00:00I think you're 50 is probably a bit young for anything like that, it might be quite patronising
00:05to suggest to a 50 year old you don't know how to drive anymore but I mean the way the roads work
00:10does change and like the nature of the roads and stuff so I think retesting at a certain period
00:15after you've passed your test might be worthwhile. I'm over 50 so I think it is a good idea
00:22and due to health reasons really if you've got any problems health problems that affect
00:27your sight or anything I think that I think you should be retested not the full the full test
00:33but just like you know a smaller test just to check that you are still safe on the roads.
00:38Maybe if that was like 50 years ago but I mean the average lifespan now is what
00:4380 90 so why would that that wouldn't make sense I mean hell if you looked around I mean half the
00:48people driving now would be out of that bracket so no that doesn't sound very good for the times
00:52I don't think. Queen's old husband he had a car crash in it so I think there is there
00:56should be a limit but I don't think 50 is the right number.
