00:00Floods and landslides are still rampant in some houses in the Bicol Region due to Hurricane Christine.
00:05In one of the villages in Albay, money is the substitute for every sack of land.
00:10Ian Cruz is a witness.
00:16There is no foundation beneath and it can fall at any time.
00:19This is the reality in Oas, Albay.
00:21That is why it is prohibited for cars to pass through.
00:24The residents themselves are the ones who are responsible for the maintenance.
00:29The roads from Libon and Teodoran to the landslides are also closed and impassable.
00:35A large amount of land was left behind by the flood and landslides
00:39in the houses in Barangay Upaliw in Pulanggi, Albay
00:43so that they can be cleaned up quickly and help those who are in need.
00:47The barangay is buying up to 10 pesos per sack of small land.
00:52But due to the large amount of land in the area, the barangay's fund is running out.
00:57Maybe I won't be spending 10,000 or 1,000 sacks.
01:01But in just two days, we were able to accumulate 1,980 sacks.
01:06So it totaled to 19,800.
01:09The LGU provided us with two pads.
01:14But since there is no price for helping, the residents continue to clean up.
01:21In the middle of this evacuation center in Bula, Camarinesur,
01:25a 31-year-old woman was drowned.
01:28She was attacked in the heart after the water rose in the evacuation center where her family is.
01:34According to her brother, it was two days before she was taken to the hospital where she also died.
01:42The water...
01:45The ambulance couldn't go through.
01:49The six barangays in Bula were also affected by the Christine Flood.
01:52That's why the residents were worried when the heavy rain started to pour again.
01:58I was afraid that the water would rise again.
02:02The residents are asking for help.
02:04The LGU is trying to reach out for help.
02:08While there is no help, Joseph was able to catch a fish in the river.
02:13I put a net in the middle of the rice fields
02:18so that we can catch something to eat for dinner.
02:24The Bula Public Cemetery was also not saved from the flood.
02:28The flood hit the town of Bula.
02:31Here in their cemetery, we can see the water leakage in the niches.
02:37But no matter what, this place is still clean.
02:40Despite the flood, the residents are still trying to visit their loved ones.
02:49Even though we are inside, we are still helping them clean up.
02:53It's almost their day.
02:57It's raining in Mamburau, Occidental, Mindoro.
02:59But it's still early.
03:00Father Entor is already in the cemetery.
03:04He is composing the tune of Yumao May Bahay.
03:06For me, my house is still wet.
03:10This is my first time.
03:11It's simple.
03:12I just want to fix my house.
03:16Last year, Father Entor's wife passed away
03:19after almost 50 years of being together.
03:22He prayed for a good time to be able to visit on the same day of the funeral.
03:27Maybe I can go.
03:29If not, of course, it's just a matter of time.
03:33Father Entor also fixed his house early.
03:36The flood also flooded a large part of the cemetery.
03:40Yesterday, we were already here cleaning.
03:43But the rain was really heavy.
03:45We couldn't finish it.
03:46It's hard to struggle when it rains outside.
03:49It only happens once in a year.
03:51For GMA Integrated News, I am Ian Cruz, your witness.
