00:07for the Conservative and Unionist Party leadership election, declare that the total number of

00:13eligible electors was 131,680.

00:19The turnout in the election was 72.8%.

00:24The total number of votes rejected was 655, of which 610 were rejected because they were

00:31either unmarked or void for uncertainty, and 45 ballot papers rejected because they'd voted

00:37for more than one candidate.

00:44Quite tough in a two-person election.

00:47Anyway, the result was Kemi Badenoch, 53,806 votes, and Robert Jenrick, 41,382.
