00:00The Dolphins did show up yesterday in Buffalo and very close to taking this thing to overtime,
00:08if not for a 61-yard field goal by Tyler Bass.
00:12But at this point, you know, Adam, the Chiefs are the favorite to win the AFC, but don't
00:18look now here.
00:19The Bills right now, 4-1 to win the AFC.
00:22Win total 12.5, just 8-1 to win the Super Bowl.
00:26I know this was not their most impressive win of the season.
00:29Obviously that was last week against Seattle, but they're as good an offense as any team
00:34in the NFL.
00:35And I would also say, Adam, yesterday Josh Allen had a, what, 25-yard touchdown run called
00:39back for no reason, too.
00:40He's been great.
00:42He's been awesome, and I'm happy to have an MVP ticket on Josh Allen from before the season
00:47at plus 850, because obviously the odds right now are considerably worse.
00:51He's been very good.
00:52He's exceeded my expectations.
00:54This Bills team has as well.
00:56In recent years, we've seen them very up and down.
00:59You know, one of the things we talked about on In Game Live Pro Football Game Day last
01:02night, I had brought it up sort of in the same vein that you're talking about it now.
01:07What should we make of these Bills?
01:09Because everyone, I know the Chiefs play tonight, they're going for yet another win.
01:14Only remaining unbeaten team, looking for their 14th straight W, all of that, two-time
01:19defending champs.
01:20A lot of people just want to assume they're going to win three in a row like it's easy
01:24or something.
01:25So, all right, well, let's entertain the AFC.
01:28Let's at least consider who else could be a viable threat.
01:32There aren't many.
01:33You know, it's Buffalo, it's Baltimore.
01:36That might be it as we sit here basically halfway through the year, because I'm not
01:40quite ready to go to, you know, the Houstons of the world.
01:44And what really impressed me yesterday about Buffalo, and you know, I did kind of assume
01:50the Bills were going to win the game.
01:52I did have the Dolphins plus three and a half, so threaded a needle there, obviously,
01:56with that three-point win, as you noted.
01:58But the thing about this game with Josh Allen and the offense in particular, putting up
02:0330-plus points, was that he was doing it without Amare Cooper.
02:07You know, they were absent a true number one receiver to start off their year.
02:13And so they were one of these teams in the AFC arms race to go out and get a wideout.
02:18And you know, Cooper was very good last week, and I wondered, all right, well, two is back
02:23there, Tyreek is better with two, obviously, Waddle is up and down, but you know what he's
02:28capable of, that run game, all of it, the Dolphins, as bad as they have been historically
02:34over the last several years against the Bills, this is a spot where, you know, you could
02:38go into Buffalo and surprise them, maybe catch them off guard just a little bit.
02:43It almost happened.
02:44But the fact that the Bills and Allen were able to get over the hump, do so without Cooper,
02:50and have the Shaqirs of the world, among others, take advantage of an opportunity, sort of
02:56as they had to do, obviously, early in the season, but what was slotting them into a
03:00more advantageous role now, with Cooper available, taking some of the attention off of them,
03:06I just thought was really good.
03:07And so, look, if I'm investing in a Super Bowl champion right now, I realize the Chiefs
03:12are the easy choice, you know, quote-unquote, but if I'm looking for some value, you're
03:19talking about Buffalo to win the AFC, I get it.
03:22If you're going to invest in that, you may as well just invest in them to win the whole
03:25thing and get that at 8-1.
03:27I think that is a really interesting bet with, again, still some value inside 10-1.
