00:00More than 7 million pesos worth of illegal high-grade marijuana was found in a buy-bust operation in Mandaluyong.

00:06The suspect who admitted to the police that their transaction was done online was arrested.

00:12EJ Gomez reports.

00:16In this apartment in Barangay Plainview, Mandaluyong City,

00:19the police arrested in a buy-bust operation last night the suspect of illegal drugs.

00:26They were fined more than 5 kilos of kush or high-grade marijuana.

00:32The amount of drugs confiscated was estimated at 7.5 million pesos.

00:38The arrest of these two suspects of peddling marijuana

00:45is the result of information from Marikina City Police

00:52that all the arrests of kush are said to have come from here.

00:58In fruit cocktail cans, the suspects hide the high-grade marijuana they sell.

01:03The cans are labeled as imported canned goods.

01:07When it's delivered, it's not obvious that it's illegal drugs or marijuana or kush.

01:29According to the investigation, the suspects,

01:33alias Maymay and Janjan,

01:3528-year-old and former resident of Malate, Manila, have been pushing for two years.

01:39They refused to give a statement in front of the camera.

01:45In their statement to the police,

01:47they said that the transaction was online to their customers

01:51from various places in Metro Manila.

01:53They will meet up in Mandaluyong and there they will give the drugs they ordered.

01:58The male suspect also admitted to using the drugs they sold.

02:03In the custodial facility of Mandaluyong Police Station,

02:06the suspects are currently in jail.

02:08They will face a complaint of violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
