00:00Today, we have 2.41 million registered foreign workers.
00:112.41 million.
00:16KDN is guided by the foundation set by the Ministry of Economy.
00:26The Ministry of Economy said,
00:28based on the time of the country, the salary of foreign workers cannot exceed 2.5 million.
00:36Before December this year.
00:37How did they calculate 2.5 million?
00:39They said, the available energy consumption is 17 million.
00:43They calculated how many percent of that.
00:46Then they said the number is 2.5 million.
00:49That is the sharing.
00:50Do not exceed that number.
00:51So, 2.41 million means we only have a deficit of about 100,000.
00:58Because of that, the first decision we made is
01:03to freeze the new quota.
01:09In September this year, we said, stop.
01:13There is no more.
01:14Do not ask for it.
01:17From September, there is no more request.
01:21The foundation means we will only review quarterly.
01:27Every 3-4 months, we will review.
01:30Is there a need for us to consider?
01:34If there are 5 sectors, we still need it.
01:37Agriculture, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, and also safety.
01:44These 5 sectors, 2.41 million,
01:48because we only have a deficit of 100,000,
01:51to reach the sharing set by the Ministry of Economy,
01:54we decided to close it temporarily.
01:58I would also like to say,
02:00Mr. President, KDN and the Ministry of Human Resources
02:03jointly issued by the Cabinet,
02:07we said that while we close it,
02:12out of the 5 sectors, 3 are already surplus.
02:17Construction, manufacturing, and also safety are already surplus.
02:23Meanwhile, what is not enough yet
02:26is agriculture and farming.
02:292.41 million, that's right.
02:32But still, the salary is more than 3 sectors.
02:38But these 2 sectors are still in deficit.
02:43Therefore, Dato' Johari, Minister of Agriculture,
02:47a few months ago,
02:49he said that the agriculture sector still needs to be brought in.
02:52Even though the policy is that as long as we stop,
02:55the KDN and the Ministry of Human Resources said,
03:00based on the consideration at that time,
03:04we will bring it back to discuss.
03:06After that, the number that is said to be needed by the agriculture sector
03:10was verified by the KDN.
03:14Out of the 5 sectors, 2 are still in deficit.
03:17And the latest example that we gave on a case-to-case basis
03:24is the agriculture sector.
03:26The number that is needed is 23,000.
03:29And it was lifted by the Ministry of Agriculture.
03:32And it was investigated by the Agency Kawaselia
03:36where it opened the application to the farm companies.
03:40And now, the process is being brought in.
03:42That's the process.
