Finnish President Alexander Stubb has expressed his appreciation for China's decision to expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges by implementing a unilateral visa-free policy for Finland and has shared the excitement from the Finnish business community.

Stubb was in Beijing for a four-day state visit to China last week at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Stubb said he was pleasantly surprised by the news when he learned about the visa-free policy during talks with President Xi.

Tourists from Finland will be able to enter China visa-free from 8 November 2024 until 31 December 2025.
