00:00ACM interviewed members of an Australian-based Trump Election Watch Party.
00:06The event advertised a celebration of President Trump's re-election with fellow supporters.
00:12Hello, my name's Edwin Nelson.
00:14I am one of the co-organisers of this event and yeah, happy for a positive result with
00:19Trump.
00:20Things aren't looking too bad.
00:22The early vote's in our favour.
00:24We're looking good in Georgia and North Carolina at the moment.
00:28So, you know, that's half of the way.
00:30Pennsylvania's still probably a bit early.
00:31The whole election will come down to that.
00:34What else do I expect?
00:35I think that, again, Michigan's pretty early at this stage, but some positive results in
00:43different places.
00:44I think they're doing better with the early vote than they usually do.
00:47And it seems to be a high turnout, so yeah.
00:51If Trump wins, it'll be because of the economy, because Biden's been terrible at foreign policy.
00:57I think, you know, the world was at peace when Trump was president and they're now in
01:01a situation where, you know, Israel, Ukraine and all the stuff-ups in Afghanistan.
01:08So I think America is weaker internationally on the foreign page.
01:11I think they've got problems with the border, huge numbers of illegal people coming into
01:16the country.
01:17So I think that if Trump wins, it'll be because of those factors.
01:20If Harris wins, probably, potentially, things like your abortion might be a part of it.
01:24But yeah.
01:25I think it, you know, it affects our relationships with the US and affects our relationships
01:29with China.
01:30But I think Trump in the White House will be a positive thing for Australia.
