In his victory speech following a stunning win in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump took a moment to give a special shoutout to tech billionaire and SpaceX founder, Elon Musk. The two have become increasingly linked throughout the election cycle, with Musk making a significant impact on Trump's campaign. Not only did Musk endorse Trump in July, but he has also reportedly donated a whopping $118 million to Trump's political action committee (PAC). In this moment of celebration, Trump highlighted Musk's critical support and influence in the 2024 election.

00:01And thank you, Susan.
00:02Look at it.
00:03It's just I've never seen it be shot before.
00:06Susie.
00:07They've been.
00:08They're great.
00:09Everybody up here is great.
00:11Everybody up here is very special.
00:13But the Trump, who did you say?
00:17Oh, let me tell you, we have a new star.
00:22A star is born.
00:23Ilan.
00:24Now he is now he's an amazing guy.
00:31We were sitting together tonight and he spent two weeks in Philadelphia and different parts
00:37of Pennsylvania campaigning.
00:40You know, he sent the rocket up two weeks ago and I saw that rocket.
00:44I saw it coming down.
00:46I saw it.
00:47It was when it left.
00:48It was beautiful, shiny white.
00:50When it came down, it didn't look so pretty.
00:52He was going 10,000 miles an hour and was burning like hell.
00:56I said, what happened to your paint job?
00:57He said, we've never made a paint that could withstand that kind of heat.
01:02And but I saw it come down and turn around.
01:05And it was, you know, it's like 22 stories tall, by the way.
01:08It looks a little smaller than that, but it's big.
01:11And it came down and down.
01:13And you saw that fire burning and I'm saying only Ilan can do this.
01:18It must be an Ilan.
01:20And I tell the story.
01:21I told it last night.
01:22I had a man on the phone.
01:24I had the screen muted.
01:26No sound.
01:27I was talking to a very important man, happens to be here and a very important guy, one of
01:32the most important people in, I would say, the country, actually.
01:36But you know, I was president and now it looks like I was going to be maybe president again.
01:43So I figured I could ask him to hold.
01:45So I asked him to hold because especially because you're going to be president again.
01:51Hold.
01:52So I took the phone down and I'm looking at the screen.
01:54I'm seeing this crazy thing that's going around and coming down.
01:57It looks like it's a crash into the gantry.
02:00And I said, oh, no.
02:01And I said, do me a favor.
02:02Do you mind holding for a couple of minutes?
02:04I want to see this.
02:05I thought it was a space age movie or something.
02:08I put the phone down, but I didn't pick it up for 45 minutes and he was holding.
02:14But this spaceship came down and I saw those engines firing and it looked like it was over.
02:20It was going to smash.
02:21And then I saw the fire pour out from the left side and I put it straight and it came
02:27down so gently.
02:29And then it wrapped those arms around it and it held it.
02:33And just like you hold your baby at night, your little baby.
02:37And it was a beautiful thing to see.
02:39And I called Ilan.
02:40I said, Ilan, was that you?
02:43He said, yes, it was.
02:45I said, who else can do that?
02:47Can Russia do it?
02:48No.
02:49Can the United States do it?
02:50Other than, you know, nobody can do that.
02:51I said, that's why I love you, Ilan.
02:52That's great.
