00:00With Tropical Storm Marce closing in on northern Luzon, the President ordered
00:04the concerned agencies to ensure high-functioning and reliable communications with the LGUs
00:09of affected locations, instructed the strict observance of excess water spillage in dams
00:15and reservoirs, and directed his disaster response teams to be good to go at a moment's notice for
00:21rescue relief efforts and relief distribution, among others. Our Kenneth Paciente fills us in
00:27with the rest. Following the intensification of Typhoon Marce's status, President Ferdinand R.
00:35Marcos Jr. alerted the relevant government agencies in the face of potential impact.
00:39The Chief Executive urged these agencies to establish an efficient communication system
00:44for quick notification to affected residents, especially since the signals from authorities
00:48are always the basis for action by the public. The DPWH and DOTR were also instructed to stay
00:54on standby for possible clearing operations and advised that vehicles from private companies
00:59participating in the government's Build Better and More program should also be ready to help.
01:04The Chief Executive also stated that rescue equipment at all levels of government should
01:08be available anytime to support rescue operations. There should also be round-the-clock monitoring of
01:13rivers and other waterways. He also said the protocols in dams should be observed in case
01:18of potential overflow. The President also said that relief goods should be in safe storage locations
01:24to be quickly distributed to those affected by the typhoon. He also thanked the health care
01:28workers who go on standby to provide medical attention to those in need. The Chief Executive
