00:08Will the Menendez brothers be able to go to Nobu this Christmas?
00:12Well, that one's more up to you LA voters.
00:14The LA County DA insists that his quest to free the Menendez brothers had nothing to
00:20do with trying to win an election.
00:22Which George Gascon has been accused of in the wake of the Netflix show and the documentaries
00:26renewing public interest in the case.
00:29Joining us on TMZ Live, Gascon says none of that was a factor.
00:32We have been working in both the habeas and the resent, well the habeas for over a year.
00:37Resentencing for, you know, since early this year.
00:39But says the public interest did kind of force them to have that press conference last month.

01:03And decided resentencing the brothers December 11th is the right thing to do.
01:07As for today's election.
01:08It's really going to be interesting because if he loses the election, the new DA takes
01:13office before the actual hearing.
01:16We had his opponent on TMZ Live who refused to say what he would do.
01:22The judge can continue it at the request of, you know, a new DA that says, hey, I need
01:28more time to review it.
01:29And what's a few more months, huh?
01:31Who's more nervous?
01:33The Menendez brothers or Kamala?
01:35Kamala!
