00:00Full time here at Deakdale and it ends Preston North End nil, Sunderland nil and it was really
00:07a game of two halves where the first half was entertaining and it was full of really
00:12nice flow and attacking football and then the second half it just completely died out.
00:18North End by far the better team in the first half as well, it looked like they could have
00:22had two, three, maybe even four goals in the first half but the chance of that first half
00:27has to go to Emil Rees who managed to just turn on the edge of the box and managed to just curl
00:35his shot, looked like it was going to go into the top corner but then a lovely save by Simon Moore
00:41to keep the scores level and ultimately that was enough for Sunderland to keep it level of course
00:46in the first half but then the second half they took control but they couldn't take any of their
00:53opportunities that they had and I'll be honest I can't now think of a single genuine chance that
01:00they had in that second half and it's the same for North End as well, really just a second half
01:05that lack quality and ultimately it was a game where these two sides would have been there until
01:10midnight and I don't think they would have scored but the main thing is it's a clean sheet for
01:15Preston, it's two clean sheets in a row as well for Sunderland but it's a much better performance
01:19than Saturday, the 3-1 defeat, it was a much much better performance and I think it's something that
01:26heck and bottom should be quite proud of, I think to keep a clean sheet against the league
01:31leaders, a team who have looked very very powerful so far this season, it's a clean sheet and then
01:38it's on to Portsmouth on Saturday. Preston do remain 20th, they remain level on points with
01:45Plymouth who are in the relegation zone but there's still plenty of time in this season,
01:49I don't expect them to go down, they're playing some fantastic football with Paul Heckenbottom,
01:53January's on the way so let's see what happens.
