00:00from this country anyway, as the chief Trump whisperer, will you have a key role in introducing
00:08people from the UK government to members of the Trump transition team?
00:16What is likely, Chris, is that when he appoints his cabinet, I'm probably going to know quite
00:21a few of them personally quite well also. So I do think that I might have a role to
00:27play in helping to break down those barriers. I mean, don't forget, there are such fundamental
00:32disagreements politically. I mean, Ed Miliband wants us to go completely green. Lucky we're
00:39all rich, isn't it, and can pay the electricity bills. Whereas, you know, the Trump administration
00:43is drill, baby, drill. We can go right through all of these different issues. There are huge
00:49differences between a very conservative Trump government, you know, and a pretty left-wing
00:54British one. But on areas like intelligence sharing, on areas like defence, on areas
00:59like trade, and indeed investment, and it's worth remembering that America is the biggest
01:04foreign investor in the UK, and vice versa, we in America. On all of these things, there
01:09is an essential national interest that we resolve these things to the satisfaction of
01:13both sides. And if I can help in any way at all to break down some of those barriers,
01:18I'll do so. And not because I support anything that Keir Starmer's government stands for.
01:23I don't. But it's in the national interest, and that's really the point.
