Robyn Hewson speaks to Vita Group's chief investment officer Ioannis Verdelis to hear about the launch of their latest brand U haus, expansion plans in Spain and new developments in Manchester.

00:00So I'm here today with Yannis from Vita Group, so welcome.
00:13Thank you very much, thanks for having me.
00:14So do you want to tell us a little bit about Vita Group and what you do?
00:18So we're developers, investors and operators in the living sector, so we have a number
00:23of brands.
00:24We have Vita Student, which is our largest brand by footprint, and House of Social, which
00:29is another student brand, with the first scheme opening in Manchester this September.
00:33YouHouse, which is the building we're in, in our build-to-rent sector, and Union, our
00:38co-living brand.
00:39So YouHouse is launching soon, what can people expect to see from this building?
00:44We've repositioned the building over the last 12 months to be the best place to live in
00:49Manchester, with a focus on working, living and wellness, so we've created some amazing
00:55working spaces for people to do work from home, places where people can relax, gym
01:00classes, 15 gym classes a week at the moment, and an all-inclusive service including utilities,
01:06services, events and everything in between.
01:09And I've just had a tour around the building, it is absolutely amazing.

01:14So what's next for Vita going forward?
01:17We're continuing developing in all of these brands across the UK and in Spain, a big focus
01:22for our student, Vita Student brand in London, launching a number of other house of social
01:27schemes.
01:28You have seen recently in the news, we've got a big master plan in Birmingham that we're
01:33involving with Goodstation, a lot of developments here in Manchester as well, our home city
01:38and always a great market for us.
01:42So we're growing in all of these brands across the UK and we have a couple of schemes starting
01:48in Madrid as well, so we're continuing internationally.
