00:00Some motorists are in favor of the plan of the DOTR or Department of Transportation to counter-flow or reverse the road to Edsa Busway.

00:10This is so that the motorists will not be able to abuse the road.

00:13This is Bernard Ferrer with the national news.

00:18Some commuters have received a positive response to the possibility of reversing the direction of Edsa Busway.

00:23This means that the public bus to the northbound lane has been transferred to the southbound lane and vice versa.

00:30For some commuters, this is a good step by the Department of Transportation to use the public bus to Edsa Busway exclusively.

00:38It's okay if the commuters will benefit from this.

00:42Because if they enter the area where they usually pass by, it's better to give way.

00:47It's good. At least, it avoids traffic for the commuters.

00:51But let's see what will be the adjustment is.

00:54They also suggested to increase the fine that can be imposed on private vehicles passing through Edsa Busway.

01:00According to Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista,

01:02they discussed the plan of the bus companies passing through Edsa Busway.

01:07It's possible that they will be replaced before the end of the year.

01:10They will give us their position, although their initial reaction is that it's a very good idea.

01:17Another consideration of the Transportation Department is to reduce the protocol plate given by the government officials.

01:24Currently, ambulances, firetrucks, and police cars with black operations are allowed to pass through Edsa Busway.

01:32The President of the country's second president, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court are also allowed to pass through.

01:41A SUV with a pecking No. 7 protocol plate went viral after passing through the northbound lane of Edsa Busway.

01:49The No. 7 protocol plate is only given to the country's three senators.
