00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. is leading the distribution of the 129 patient transport vehicles in Manila today.
00:12These vehicles can be used by local governments in times of emergency.
00:19This is part of the PCSO Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program, which aims to improve the medical delivery system, especially in underserved areas.
00:31According to the President, this is a step by the government to provide faster access to LGUs in healthcare, especially in times of emergency.
00:41The 87 LGUs in Calabarzon, 25 LGUs in Bicol Region, 8 in Central Luzon, 6 in Cordillera, and 3 in Cagayan are part of the PCSO Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program.
00:58Each vehicle is worth Php 2.1 million and is fully equipped with medical essentials such as stretcher, oxygen tank, blood pressure monitor, and wheelchair.
01:10As of now, 356 ambulances have been distributed by the administration while the procurement of the 1,000 ambulances that can be given to all LGUs in the country is ongoing,
01:26after the President approved the Php 2.2 billion fund for this.
