00:00It was a very unfortunate incident, but it was contained.
00:05It was a fire pit that malfunctioned, but we now literally have the hottest restaurant
00:10in the world, no pun intended.
00:12Some of the video, it looked pretty bad.
00:15What happened?
00:16Well, you see also the reflection in the window there, it makes it look like the fire is inside
00:21the building, but it was actually just outside on the patio.
00:24I mean, we were literally open an hour later.
00:26Yeah, no one was injured during it?
00:28No, nobody was injured.
00:29Thank God, and our grand opening went off last night without a hitch.
00:35You are a real restaurant guy.
00:37I mean, you've been doing this all over the country.
00:39Yeah, I mean, we've got 112 Wahlburgers right now, Al Minobe, which is our first restaurant,
00:45which is named after my mom.
00:46I see her reflection.
00:47Oh, it's over there.
00:48I'm backwards.
00:49Yes.
00:50But yeah, we found a wonderful operator for our entire restaurant business, and we decided
00:58to open up some other cool things.
00:59Everything obviously is chef driven.
01:03I'm not making any of the food, creating the menus.
01:06I'm in business with really smart people who are really good at what they do and have 30,
01:1040 years experience in the business.
01:13Everybody thinks of you as an actor, and then you think, well, wait a minute, but the guy
01:16has all these restaurants, and I hear now you're opening a gym there as well.
01:22This is almost the male version of Martha Stewart, that you're almost creating this
01:26kind of lifestyle brand.
01:27Well, yeah, and everything we do is a reflection of the lifestyle that I live.
01:31So health, wellness, quality is first and foremost with everything that we do with our
01:36power brand.
01:37It was always a natural segue to go into the fitness space, but we're creating a super
01:41high-end luxury fitness concept that has a big focus on recovery, rejuvenation, and then
01:49also training a serious athlete, whether you're somebody who's just beginning the fitness
01:53journey or somebody who's a world-class athlete, it's going to be the best of the best and
01:57state-of-the-art.
01:58So we're excited about changing the face of fitness as well.
02:00That's actually really smart, because you can have all the margaritas you want, get
02:03a hangover at a restaurant, and then go do a cold plunge at your gym, and it's a two-for-one.
02:08Get the cold plunge, you feel better, and then you get a workout, and you can do it
02:11all over again.
02:12Really, it's about working hard, completing your goals, hitting those benchmarks that
02:16you set for yourself, have a nice little celebration, reward yourself, and then go back and get
02:20after it.
02:21Everything that I really kind of do is based on necessity as well, because when I started
02:27in the business as an actor, things weren't coming my way.
02:29I had to be in control of my own destiny, which is why I started producing developing
02:33material, and so it's the same thing with building our brands.
02:36We want to create something that's a direct extension of who I am, and we want to create
02:39quality, and we want to inspire people no matter where you're at.
02:42Doesn't matter where you start.
02:43There isn't anything you can't accomplish if you're willing to do the work.
