00:00The 16th edition of the Erasmus Cultural Meeting was held in Rome, organized by Erasmus Student Network Italy.
00:11Founded in 2008, the event represents a consolidated tradition to celebrate the values of unity, diversity and intercultural cooperation that characterize the Erasmus program.
00:21On the occasion of the opening conference entitled The Future of Internationalization of Higher Education in Italy,
00:27the young people of Erasmus Student Network Italy brought to the attention of those present some of the issues on which it is important to continue working.
00:36You can certainly continue to work on the cultural integration of students, on the increase of the tools to come up against the disparities that different classes of students pose in different positions,
00:52so certainly work on a greater accessibility of these programs and continue to structure more inclusive and accessible training programs.
01:07Also present at the event is a representative of the national agency Erasmus plus Indire, among the realities that sponsor the initiative.
01:14The Erasmus project so far has always sought to meet ambitious goals regarding the inter-institutional and international cooperation between higher education institutions,
01:26making mobility certainly more inclusive, greener, more digital.
01:31We aim to achieve the same goals also for future programming.
01:38Probably the key actions should be confirmed and then we will understand what the indications will be by the European Commission for the future programming to which we are already involved and committed.
01:53Thanks to the sponsorship of Roma Capitale, more than 1,300 international students were able to visit some of the capital's main museums and cultural sites for free.
02:04We will have the opportunity to visit La Rapacis, Mercati di Traiano and Villa d'Orlonia.
02:08In addition to these museums, the highlight of the event is the night visit to the capitol museums.
02:15As for Saturday, there are all the other activities, so city tours and museums that I mentioned before, and a beautiful moment of conclusion, which is the flag parade.
02:25The flag parade is a symbolic moment that sees international students marching through the streets of Rome with the flags of their countries to celebrate the European ideal of unity in diversity
02:34and to witness the commitment of Erasmus Student Network in promoting peace and cultural integration.
02:39Among the sponsors of the project is also the Kate Clinic in Tirana.
02:43Like every year, this time too, Kate is supporting young Italians and young people all over Europe as main sponsors in this beautiful event that is taking place in the center of Rome.
02:58I am proud of this event and this collaboration. I hope that in the years to come it will be even better.
