00:00President Bongbong Marcos passed a law to encourage more investors to move to the Philippines.

00:07That is the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises

00:11to maximize opportunities for reinvigorating the economy or create more act.

00:16Under this, the corporate income tax will be reduced by 20 percent from the previous 25 percent.

00:21The law on refunding VAT and documentary requirements and local taxation will also be simplified.

00:27The deductions for electricity expenses will be doubled.

00:30Tax incentives will also be maintained for companies that carry out work-from-home arrangements for half of the population.

00:38Those incentives will be accepted within 27 years from the previous 17 years only.

00:44Senator Sherwin Gatchalian and Congressman Joey Salcedo will create more act.

00:53Retailers who sell 42 pesos per kilo of rice in Metro Manila are increasing.

00:59That came out from the inspection of the Agriculture Department.

01:02According to their agreement with market associations,

01:05retailers earn 3 to 5 pesos per kilo of regular 12-mil rice.

01:10That's good news for those who will choose.

01:13But some retailers are complaining because they earn less.

01:17According to the DA, they are asking rice suppliers

01:21to increase their prices so that suppliers can reach their families at a lower price.

01:26A big-time all-price hike will be implemented tomorrow.

01:29Two pesos and 10 cents will be added to each liter of diesel.

01:33One peso and 50 cents will be added to each liter of gasoline.

01:36One peso and 20 cents will be added to each liter of kerosene.

01:41The Department of Energy said that some of the reasons for the price increase

01:46are the lower value of the peso,

01:48the premium added to the purchase of oil products,

01:51and the cost of shipping or freight costs.
