00:00The Philippine National Police, or PNP, has raised its alert level due to the impact of
00:04Typhoon Nika in some parts of the country. According to PNP spokesperson, Police Brigadier
00:10General Jean Fajardo, some PNP members are already helping with pre-emptive evacuations,
00:16especially in northern Luzon, where the typhoon made landfall. Additionally, their reactionary
00:23standby support force is ready to take charge of incident management and disaster response.
00:29The PNP is particularly focusing on Region 2 and northern Luzon because these areas have
00:34been hit by consecutive storms. Meanwhile, the PNP is also preparing for the possible
00:40effects of the upcoming Typhoon Ofel and Typhoon Pepito.
