00:00We are packing up everything we have and we are leaving the country with our two boys age eight
00:06and five. Our plan is to travel the world for a year to world school the boys. We're spending the
00:11first three months in Bali where they're already booked into an education centre. We are just your
00:16average run-of-a-mill family. We have two corporate jobs, we live in Yorkshire and we are not doing
00:22this to escape the British school system. The boys actually thrive in school but we've always had a
00:26huge passion to travel and we want to take the experiences while the boys are at the right age
00:32to leave and go and see the world. I plan on documenting our whole journey, the good, the bad
00:38and the ugly, to hopefully give some information that people need and to inspire people to do
00:44things differently. It's just over a month since we left the UK to live in Bali but today we're
00:48exploring Sydney. I can't actually believe that we've packed up everything we own, rented our
00:52house and left the UK for a whole year. We plan to slow travel around the world so the boys can go
00:57to various world schools, socialise with other children, learn about the culture and continue
01:02some of their education. We are funding our travel by having rented out our house in the UK for the
01:07year and we're also working online remotely. Now that we're in Bali we are finding working remotely
01:13a struggle so we're looking at lots of different ways that we can earn money on the go. If you'd
01:17asked me a month ago why we're leaving the UK I would have said that we were thriving in the UK
01:22but we just wanted more adventure. Now that we're over a month in I would tell you that we were
01:27definitely not thriving in the UK. Now I realise how stressed we were, how fragmented we were as a
01:33family, how much we were struggling on a day-to-day basis. Already this trip has changed the whole
01:38trajectory of our lives, it's changed how we function as parents, as a family and how we
01:43function in our day-to-day lives. If you want to follow our journey I promise that I will be as
01:47open and honest with you as possible all the way around the world and I truly hope that I can start
01:52to inspire families, parents, mums to start thinking differently about what their future might look like.
