Public engagement events are being held to give Leeds locals an insight into plans to rebuild LGI as part of work to secure full planning consent.

00:00Plans for a £1.4 billion redevelopment of Leeds General Infirmary can be viewed at a
00:07series of public engagement events across the city.
00:10Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting people to find out about the planned new facilities
00:16and give their support.
00:17A new children's hospital, adults' hospital and maternity centre could be built at the
00:22LGI site, as part of the National New Hospital Programme.
00:26The scheme has faced rising costs and delays and is subject to a government review of NHS
00:31building projects.
00:33Bosses at the Trust have warned that parts of the existing hospital are more than 150
00:37years old and not fit for purpose.
00:40Armley, Holt Park and Morley Leisure Centres, as well as Little London Community Centre,
00:45Wetherby Library and Kirkgate Market will be hosting drop-in sessions.
00:49Information stands will also be regularly located at the Jubilee Wing and Clarendon
00:54Wing entrances at the LGI site, with full details and dates online.
