00:00Parte Campioni di Vita is a new free project aimed at schools all over Italy to counter bullying and youth discomfort,
00:11a topic that is unfortunately growing among young Italians.
00:14The initiative, as a result of the collaboration between Gestione Cittadella and the Bullying Observatory,
00:18aims to promote emotional well-being through sport and peer education,
00:22with the aim of transmitting positive values to young people,
00:25and was presented at the Aula Magna of the Gallilei Institute in Rome.
00:29It is a project made by a lot of passion and a lot of love,
00:33because the real protagonists are 20 world champions and Olympic champions,
00:37of all the military sports groups.
00:39Who are the champions?
00:40The champions are those who have made a winning path,
00:43the champions are examples to follow.
00:45Through them we have made a path, some lessons,
00:49and we deal with topics such as bullying, cyberbullying,
00:52revenge porn, food disorders,
00:55that is, we talk about the discomfort of our children.
00:57The military sports groups actively support the project
01:00with Olympic and Paralympic champions,
01:03who participate as models of inspiration and symbols of sports commitment and social inclusion.
01:08The project includes online and face-to-face meetings,
01:11in which young people will be able to directly confront high-level athletes,
01:16favoring a network of friendship and support with the aim of countering isolation.
01:21I believe that the sports field is of great teaching,
01:25the field of the strikers is a field of great intimacy,
01:29let's say, between young people and athletes,
01:32where you overcome shame, where you overcome any kind of prejudice,
01:37because in sport you fight, you fight for a communion of intents,
01:43where there is also respect for other components, such as the opponent and the referees.
01:47So I think it is important to combine sport with social life.
01:52With a scientific committee in support,
01:54and thanks to the participation of representatives of the institutions,
01:58the initiative aims to reach primary and secondary schools
02:01to raise awareness on issues such as respect and culture of inclusion,
02:04in line with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education for the strengthening of civic education.
02:09Sport is certainly a prevention method for youth discomfort, for bullying,
02:16that you always have to make a team and help the weakest and not take aim at them.
02:21This is a teaching that should also be at the center of civic education,
02:27where we put respect as a fundamental pillar of civic education.
02:33I would say that in the word respect you can find many sources and many ideas to defeat bullying.
02:41The State Police also provides further support,
02:44highlighting the collaboration of the police forces in countering cyberbullying.
