00:00The Malaysian embassy in Indonesia is evacuating some 83 Malaysians following the eruption
00:08of the Mount Lowatobi Laki-Laki volcano.
00:11Burma reported that Indonesian authorities have widened the restricted areas after the
00:17volcano, which is located in East Nusa Tenggara province about 500km east of Bali, erupted
00:24at least three times on November 9th.
00:28Crews of the Agustin Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali said between November 4th
00:33and 12th, a total of 80 flights were cancelled and they included those from Singapore, Hong
00:39Kong and several Australian cities.
00:41We were meant to fly out this morning and we got an information last night saying there's
00:49no more flights on Jetstar for us to fly out.
00:53So they re-booked us for another week but we can't stay another week.
00:57I've got to go home to three kids so hopefully we can catch a flight to get out of here today.
01:04Reports said that the volcano had spewed ash clouds as high as 10km and caused sandfall
01:10in many surrounding areas.
01:13The first eruption of the volcano on November 3rd killed at least nine people and it has
01:18since erupted repeatedly.
01:23It is estimated more than 15,000 residents around the area have been evacuated.
