A man's life was saved when a stray bullet shot through his window - by an IKEA bookcase.
Daniel, 41, who wishes to keep his surname private, said the bullet was 'close' to hitting him in the head before it got lodged in Swedish-made furniture.
He said he was scrolling on social media late in the evening when he suddenly heard a loud pop.
Glass immediately shattered everywhere and Daniel quickly jumped up to investigate.
It had shot through the study window before getting lodged in the bookcase.

01:06right there, that's where the bullet first went through my outside blinds. Some people are asking
01:10me why I have blinds on the outside of my house. I'll make a video about that later on, but went
01:14through the blinds, then went through the window, went through the back of my mirror here. And this
01:19is what's really crazy. Since it went through the back, it causes like this explosion of glass that
01:24came out. It sounded like a real big pop and it caused the glass to go all over my room. It
01:30embedded itself into the cabinet here, even went into the glass itself, damaged my antique radio,
01:37glass shards are all over my bookcase. It's going to take me a long time to clean it. Anyways,
01:42the bullet comes down here. It nicks the corner of this cabinet and it goes pretty much dead on
01:48into the side of this Ikea bookcase. And I keep mentioning Ikea because I'm so grateful for the
01:53sturdiness of this furniture, because this is what stopped the bullet. You can see that there's
01:58lead residue still there. And had this bookcase not stopped the bullet, it could have gone through
02:03the wall where my family is sleeping on the other side. And I don't even want to think about what
02:07could have happened. Anyways, the bullet ricochets until it eventually lands here and the police take
02:11it away for evidence. This is where I was sitting. You can see it's just a couple feet away from my
02:17head. I don't know what this, why this happened, but I feel very lucky guys.
