00:00Yeah, so it's been 23 years since we were last in Newcastle, and I think it was kind
00:04of flagged that there's been a lot of cultural development, lots of new things in the Newcastle
00:08and Gateshead area. So we felt it was time to come back and make a game that was a little
00:12bit more reflective of the modern day Newcastle and Gateshead. And yeah, that's certainly
00:16what we've got here, I think.
00:18Yeah, so we have some in-house decisions about who appears where. Typically we'll have sub-categories,
00:23so some that reflect historic spaces, some that reflect attractions, others that reflect
00:28local businesses. But when it came to those kind of high-value spots, we're really sportful
00:32choice with all of the things that you find in Newcastle and Gateshead, so it was certainly
00:36a tough decision. So obviously we have to be pretty careful about, we don't want places
00:40to be too close together. So this has certainly been kind of the North-East edition for, you
00:45know, the next few years, we'll say.
00:46On the board, you can find Grey's Monument in the brown section, the Alan Shearer Foundation
00:50in the blue, the Baltic Centre in the pink, Eldon Square in the orange, and many more
00:55iconic Newcastle and Gateshead landmarks and businesses. For the community chests,
01:00they have used charities from the area, including Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter.
01:05We're here today as one of the charities that's been chosen for the Newcastle-Gateshead Monopoly
01:11Board. We're over the moon to be chosen, it really means a lot to us. As a charity, we've
01:16existed since 1896, thanks to the generosity of our community. And it's amazing to be recognised
01:23today with a whole host of other amazing charities and businesses and local institutions
01:29really that make the North-East a great place to live.
01:32Our purpose is to rehome animals and to save their lives, ultimately. So how we do that
01:39is we work with a lot of stray animals that come to us. We rehabilitate those animals
01:46through vet treatment, behavioural work. When we finally found that dog a new home, the
01:50whole team was just over the moon. And that's the magic that the shelter does. And we honestly
01:56couldn't do that without your support. So thank you so much.
