00:00The Steel City. At the heart of Sheffield city centre lies many hidden gems. From the
00:09Winter Gardens to the Art Deco Library and of course the Peace Gardens, Orchard Square
00:19as well as a plethora of shops and Sheffield Town Hall. As well as what looks like a police
00:27phone box was actually the old school days CCTV. But we're talking about the man overlooking
00:36Sheffield city centre. The Vulcan on top of Sheffield Town Hall at 200 feet in the air.
00:45That's not to mention what lies on top of Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre. Mercury, not quite
00:52so high up as the Vulcan but still extremely important. So much so she was restored and
01:01returned to the Lyceum Theatre. Sheffield really is a place of hidden gems and many
01:09memories such as the hole in the road, the egg box building next to the Peace Gardens.
01:17Not to mention today's iconic Crucible Theatre where the World Snooker Championships take
01:23place while the walkways are changing. The city is artistic and in a state of change
01:32but there are touches that we must not forget of Sheffield's hidden past. Well not so hidden
01:40if we look up. Talking about looking up, remember Park Hill Flats which are now state of the
01:47art apartments. Sophie May-Lan May-Lin reporting from the home of Henderson's Relish.
