00:00The lifeless man was found in Tuba, Benguet.

00:03The missing employee of UP Diliman, whom we have been tracking for the past 24 hours,

00:09was found dead by the victim based on a medical-legal autopsy.

00:17John Consulta is in the news. Exclusive.

00:22On July 24, the NBI-NCR arrested the 38-year-old boyfriend of Irene Melican.

00:33The suspect was found dead by Melican, an employee of UP Diliman, who was last seen alive in June.

00:40The victim's cellphone, credit card and car were recovered, but her body was not found.

00:46Five months later, Melican was found dead in Tuba, Benguet.

00:52Her body was recovered, but her body was not found.

01:16We had a closure that this was the person we were looking for, who was earlier kidnapped by her boyfriend.

01:26According to the NBI, the suspect and the victim were together last June in Melican's SUV.

01:32They were seen in Agua Ola Union before heading to Benguet.

01:36Based on the medical-legal PNP and re-autopsy of the NBI, the victim was found dead.

01:42She died of traumatic blunt injuries to the chest and to the neck.

01:50Further, the NBI was able to establish that she had broken ribs to the left side of the body.

01:58So she suffered a very painful death.

02:03The NBI also entered the house of the suspect in Pateros, where the body of the suspect was found,

02:10along with weapons, personal belongings of the victim and belongings of other people.

02:15The NBI will move forward with this case.

02:18We will try to establish where exactly she was killed and who killed her and how many people were killed.

02:27As it is now, the NBI Director Judge Jaime Santiago is still on top of this case.
