00:00I'm going to cut this rice. The way we make rice is that we actually let it catch a little bit at
00:06the bottom so at the bottom the rice is crispy and then we flip it into the plate. So that's
00:14what I'm gonna do. Yes, it worked. Basically you just lift it up and you get this like crispy
00:34layer at the top. One is that you wash and soak your rice for at least 10 minutes
00:42and the second thing in the rice water, you add a little bit of salt and a bit of butter
00:48and that makes it very delicious. Okay, so today we decided to cook two of our meals for you. Two
00:56of the sauces, one of them is tagine which Eliza is just serving. So it's this sauce with mixed
01:03vegetables and the other one is Persian herb stew or masazi. So this one is the national dish of
01:11Iran basically. This one is a mixture of herbs and we made it with lamb and red kidney beans.
01:18In Middle Eastern food, we usually serve the food in the middle like a banquet so you don't
01:24serve into people's place even for your casual family dinner. You usually put the food in the
01:31middle and everyone serves themselves. So that's one of the differences that I found here and to
01:36me actually I don't know why but it was surprising to see people give you what you need to eat.
