00:00The Steelers enter Sunday at home hosting the Baltimore Ravens with that slight half-game
00:06advantage atop the AFC North, but unlike last night elsewhere in the Commonwealth in Philadelphia,
00:12the home team is not favored and the home team is not the favorite to win the division.
00:17It is still Baltimore despite a slightly worse record at this moment. Three, that is the very
00:24flat and key number in favor of Baltimore. A total of 48 and a half for a Steelers-Ravens game.
00:32What's going on, Blue? How do you see Sunday in the Steel City playing out?
00:37It's a pretty amazing dynamic, right? Because I feel like a lot of people are saying,
00:41Baltimore is just a better team and, you know, Steelers are having a great season,
00:46but we'll see what happens when they meet. And then the Steelers are a home dog,
00:50Tomlin's a home dog, and Joe and I have talked about this so many times.
00:54The Steelers are money in these circumstances, even if they are going up against better teams.
01:00The Steelers have won seven of the last eight straight up and against the number,
01:04all of them decided by one score amongst these two teams. All of them decided by one score in
01:10the last eight games, seven in a row in this game to the under the Steelers-Ravens games.
01:16And the underdog has covered nine of the last 10. Now Lamar is only one in three against the
01:22Steelers in his career. There's been some late season injury and late season replacements that
01:28Steelers beat the Ravens twice last year, but Snoop Huntley started the final game as Lamar was
01:34resting for the playoffs. The encouraging thing for the Steelers is that last week they won a
01:42game 28-27, right? The numbers, the scoring started to explode. Joe was right on that game
01:49to be an over against the Commanders and the Steelers hung with them. Now I'm not saying they
01:54want to go blow for blow against Lamar Jackson, but there is a world in which they can win a game
01:59in the 20s. So that'll be pretty fascinating if they can pull that off. I have to take the Steelers
02:04with the points at home and that's just kind of where I'm going to lie. The Steelers and Tomlin
02:09as underdogs have been really good in this spot, even if you think the Ravens are the better side.
02:16I blow it when you look last 12 games as a home underdog since 2021, they've won eight outright.
02:24It's if it ain't broke, don't fix it here. The question is, are we looking at the winner being,
02:30I don't know, not only the AFC North champion, but should we be considering Pittsburgh in the
02:35long run here? Look at that 15 to one right now for the AFC title. And at some point we got to
02:42come to the realization, this is a real dangerous team come January. No. Yeah. I it's, it's kind of
02:49funny to me because they really have not, they haven't had a prove it game yet. Last week was
02:55one of the first ones where they could prove it. They've just beat up on a lot of bad teams.
03:00And now the schedule is gets very difficult, right? We were just talking off. They are how
03:05they have the chiefs on Christmas. They have all six divisional games and they have Philly. Now
03:10the Browns aren't as good as they were. What are the Bengals going to look like? They're obviously
03:14very good offensively, but the Steelers have a lot of tough games coming up. So I don't think
03:18anybody will be on board with the Steelers and lift the, unless they really rip off some huge
03:24wins. The Steelers could go four and four the rest of the way. And they are 11 win football team,
03:31right? But people will be doubting. Well, they've, they've closed. They've closed pretty
03:36weak on the season. I just don't think you're going to really want to play this defense in
03:40December and January, and hopefully into February as a Steelers fan and think you're going to get
03:46away with a lot. Jaden Daniels had a real come up in last week and they handed them,
03:50they handed the commanders a touchdown because of a, maybe an ill-advised fake punt attempt. So
03:56I'm, I'm again, another fascinating game. You said Bill, Bill's chiefs is the marquee game.
04:02And this one is, this is a one, a one B situation for me. And I do not think Joe,
04:06to your answer your question. I don't think this one decides the division too many games to go.
04:11If the Steelers won, I think there's way too many tough games in front of them. And Baltimore would
04:16have to say the same. They, Baltimore is the worst past defense in the NFL. Teams do not win
04:22the Superbowl with that kind of situation.
