00:00And kind of sticking with that theme, moments ago, I was breaking down Texas versus Arkansas.
00:08Texas comes out on top 20 to 10, but you're talking about another Heisman candidate that
00:11maybe didn't have a Heisman worthy performance, a gritty win to get out on top.
00:16It was with 176 passing yards, two touchdowns, not a bunch of turnovers or anything crazy,
00:21but probably one of his lower passing yardage props that we've seen thus far this season,
00:25right?
00:26Yeah, it's a great call on your part.
00:28That's an excellent parallel because it was a similar type of situation, Oregon going
00:33to Wisconsin, a heavy favorite challenge till the end.
00:37Same thing happened with Texas against an Arkansas team that has shown that they can
00:42pull upsets, tailing green.
00:44The quarterback has had big games.
00:45Sam Pittman has probably saved his job this year, but the fact that Texas got dragged
00:51for 60 minutes and really had to pull that one out late, I think bodes well.
00:56I think in the case of the Longhorns, I have some concerns about that offense because Quinn
01:02Yorce has been up and down since he returned from the abdominal injury.
01:07They don't have the weapons that they did last year.
01:09Isaiah Bond may be one of the exceptions.
01:11Their tight end Gunner Helm has played well this year, but they don't have a lot of field
01:15stretchers.
01:16They've gotten very young and banged up in the backfield.
01:19So Texas, as they inch closer to what appears to be an SEC title game appearance, I think
01:26they have some problems on offense that Arkansas was able to expose.
01:30Now, you know, survive in advance.
01:32Great win for the Longhorns.
01:34That's an old Southwest Conference rivalry in Arkansas, but I saw some warts that could
01:40come back to haunt them once we get to early December.
01:43Absolutely.
01:44I think you make a number of great point outs in that one, especially when it comes to stretching
01:48the field, because you use the term they got exposed by Arkansas, and I think it's brilliant
01:53because Isaiah Bond, I mean, he was limited to under 50.
01:56And typically in any sort of tight contest for Texas, you're looking for the big plays
02:00between Ures, or even if it happens to be Manning and Isaiah Bond.
02:04I mean, he's the guy, but it was blue on the ground that really helped this offense be
02:07more progressive and compete.
02:09But for the second quarter and the third quarter, almost non-existent.
02:12And then I love the fact that you said dragging their feet.
02:14If it wasn't for Texas defense, we were looking at a completely different score, let alone
02:18a completely different victor at the end of this one.
02:26Yeah.
02:27Yeah.
02:28Yeah.
02:29Yeah.
02:30Yeah.
02:31Yeah.
