Anti-war protesters gathered outside Shannon Airport today (Sun) - waving Palestinian flags.
Crowds assembled to show their opposition to use of the Irish airport by the US military, according to reports.
Footage shows a significant Garda presence at the protest, which took place just outside the County Clare airport.
Posting on X at 1pm, Shannon Airport said: "A planned protest is currently underway on the N19 approach road.
"Passengers are advised to allow for extra travel time to the airport today. Diversions are in place on approach to the airport.
"All flights are planned to operate as per the schedule. All updates will be posted to our social media channels.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you."
