00:00Actually, it's a famous inhaler, Yadom.
00:04You know that?
00:06Isn't it the green one in the bottle?
00:09I didn't know that!
00:17Hi everybody, I'm Aisha and today I am with...
00:21My good girl!
00:23Yay! Thank you so much for being here on Shock.
00:28How are you?
00:29I'm doing great and I'm excited to talk to you.
00:33I want you to start off the interview by giving a shout out to your Malaysian fans here.
00:39And give us one fun fact about yourself that I feel like your fans don't know.
00:45First of all, hi Malaysian fans!
00:49I heard that I saw a lot of fans coming from Malaysia and I hope to be there one day.
00:56Fun fact about me, I think I have my birthmark on my leg.
01:02It's actually the shape of a city of Thailand.
01:07It's like a map.
01:10It's like a map picture of the Lampoon city.
01:14That is so interesting.
01:18So you released your EP, Hypnosis.
01:22I want you to give us three emojis that could describe the EP.
01:26Oh my god, okay.
01:30The first one might be that emoji with a star.
01:35Exciting or something like that.
01:38And another one...
01:44Sparkle!
01:46Okay, cute, cute.
01:48It's like inspiring or fabulous.
01:52And another one is like fire.
01:54Fire, okay.
01:56Because your album is Fire, not gonna lie.
01:58Listen to it.
01:59Walk my walk.
02:01So it's such a powerful message and it's about confidence.
02:05What inspired the song and how did the collaboration come about?
02:10With Regis, right?
02:12Yes.
02:13Actually, what inspired this song is actually my own experience and my lesson learned.
02:19I think everybody has been through a lot of things and sometimes they've been lost.
02:26They've been exhausted about life, living life.
02:32So I think this song can inspire everyone to keep walking their walk.
02:40Without giving others opinions about how to do it.
02:48So yeah, just keep on walking your walk and pave your way to your goals.
02:53And just keep doing your best.
02:55It's one of the best things that you can ever do to yourself or yourself.
03:01Okay, so you're very, very involved in the creative process of making your album and your single.
03:08So what's your favourite part of making music from the writing or the production?
03:14What's your favourite part?
03:15Every part is my favourite part.
03:20It starts from the scratch.
03:22Just making a fun beat with my friends.
03:27We're just vibing together in the studio and then I'm starting to write a song.
03:33The shooting every day is very exciting to give a shot.
03:39It's kind of amazing that 60 or 70 people are gathering to shoot the MV for me.
03:47It's kind of crazy, right?
03:49They woke up in the early morning just to work for me in this set.
03:56It's kind of mind-blowing.
03:59So I really appreciate that a lot.
04:02I think the moment that I'm going to release it is very exciting also.
04:10Besides Regis, if you could collaborate with any artist, anybody for your album, who would it be and why?
04:22How about Oswald?
04:24Do you know Oswald? He's a Japanese rapper.
04:27Oh, I've never heard of him. I'll check him out.
04:30I saw his video and I was like, oh, this guy is something.
04:40I love seeing very unique artists portraying their own colours.
04:49It's very fascinating to see.
04:52You're unique too. I like your music.
04:55You're very cool.
05:00Who are some of your biggest musical influences and how have they shaped your own sound?
05:08I think the biggest musical is maybe Chris Brown.
05:12Victoria Monet, I love her.
05:15She's very empowering.
05:18Ariana Grande also.
05:21She has a big impact on how I stack my vocals.
05:27Her vocal stacking is amazing.
05:30I love her for that.
05:34What's one snack or drink that you cannot go without during a long studio session?
05:40Do you know sha cai?
05:42What is that? Tell me.
05:43It's like a Thai tea, orange tea.
05:46Have you ever seen that orange?
05:48The orange Thai tea?
05:50Yeah.
05:52We love that when we go to Thailand.
05:54In Malaysia, I feel like whenever they go to Thailand, they will get that.
05:59It's so amazing.
06:01Even though it's so sweet, I love that.
06:03It's very sweet, but it's good.
06:05If you were to host a party inspired by one of your songs, which song would it be and what would it look like?
06:14For me, I love Walk by The Walk.
06:19I performed that live.
06:21Everybody was vibing to the song, hyping and enjoying it.
06:26I feel like that song gives a positive vibe.
06:31It's very fun to perform live.
06:35I want to see you perform live that song.
06:37Come to Malaysia.
06:40Please give a lot of support to my song so I can go there.
06:44We will.
06:45To all your Malaysian fans, everybody.
06:49What's the most memorable interaction you've had with a fan and how did it impact you?
06:55I had a fan who has been supporting me for 7 years.
07:02Yes, 7 years.
07:03Wow.
07:05I just held a fan meeting for the first time ever.
07:12This month, I think.
07:15She came and got the chance to talk with me on the stage.
07:23It's kind of emotional because I've been seeing her for 7 years and she's still here with me.
07:30When I have my own fan meeting, it's kind of emotional.
07:37I love her so much.
07:39Is that your first time meeting her?
07:42Yes, my first time meeting her as a solo.
07:44Wow, after 7 years?
07:46Yes.
07:47That must be so cool.
07:51Touring, concerts must be tiring.
07:54What's one item you always take with you on the road for good luck?
07:59Actually, it's a famous inhaler.
08:02Yadong.
08:04You know that?
08:05Isn't it the green one in the bottle?
08:08You know that.
08:12Whenever we travel to Thailand, that's what we buy in bulk.
08:17We have it around the office.
08:19I'm not kidding.
08:20But I also don't have it here now.
08:22I would show you if I have it.
08:24But we use it.
08:25Yes.
08:27Yadong.
08:28This kind of green one.
08:30Yes.
08:31There's one in yellow as well, right?
08:33I like that one actually.
08:35The green for me is the best.
08:38What's your favourite way to connect with your fans when you're performing live?
08:44Actually, I just don't know.
08:46When I sing on stage, I just like,
08:48Hi girl, I see you.
08:51Something like that.
08:52Mostly because when my fans come,
08:55I usually recognise my fans.
09:01Something like that.
09:02That is so cute.
09:04Are there any fan stories that have inspired you in songwriting or in your work?
09:12For me, I want this song to be inspiring for my fans also.
09:19Whoever listens to this song,
09:21they're going to get that empowering power to walk their walk.
09:31My purpose of being an artist is to be the icon that inspires people.
09:40An icon, yes.
09:41Inspiring people.
09:42To wrap up our interview,
09:44what do you want to say to all your Malaysian fans
09:47who are watching this interview right now?
09:50And any final words that you want to say to them before we go?
09:54Oh yeah, Malaysian.
09:57I want to go there so bad.
09:58So please support my music so I can go and see you there.
10:03Yeah, my song is like, you know,
10:05for me, I love it so much.
10:06And I hope you guys love it also.
10:09See you there one day.

10:17Bye.
