00:00Today we are here to remind us how important prevention is.
00:08Often when we talk about health, we think about care and treatments that we doctors can offer patients,
00:14but we forget that the most important step is the one that starts from us,
00:18so prevention, having a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, avoiding smoking.
00:23And this leads us not only to prevent oncological diseases, but also cardiovascular diseases,
00:28which unfortunately today are the first cause of death in the entire population,
00:32but unfortunately also in women, who are often still widely under-treated and under-diagnosed.
00:38With this initiative, today we as cardiologists will carry out a cholesterol check,
00:45pressure, an electrocardiogram, precisely to have a first picture of the patient,
00:50then perform a cardiovascular screening to identify any conditions that may also be subclinical
00:59and give advice to patients to prevent the development of a cardiovascular disease.
