00:00President Bongbong Marcos recognized the sacrifice of the first responders,

00:06those who helped in the following typhoon that hit the country.

00:10In the middle of that, the President also promised to help those in need,

00:15along with a call to everyone,

00:17this Christmas,

00:19which was led by Ivan Mayrina.

00:20We are blessed once again as we hold this event as it is a particularly appropriate time

00:50considering the challenges that our fellow Filipinos have been facing since October 21.

00:56Our collective faith and prayer to the Almighty is the most powerful tool that we have to weather these storms.

01:03It is said that prayer is not enough if there is no work.

01:07The President recognized the first responders of the local government who are facing the following typhoons,

01:13as well as the following of many in trouble.

01:15To all the workers, I am sure that they are exhausted.

01:23I am sure that they have done and they continue to do and work as hard as they can.

01:30I am very thankful to them.

01:32That is why the President was able to avoid the terrible and devastating typhoon,

01:36even though the President is still saddened by the loss of one of his fellow Filipinos in Camarines Norte.

01:40You know, my feelings about that is that one casualty is one casualty to many.

01:46In the midst of this, the President promised to remind people to get up,

01:50to continue to provide assistance even in isolated areas, particularly in food and water supply.

01:56The reorganization and reconstruction of those affected by the previous typhoons will also begin.

02:01The President's call is to remind the people in Lanta who are facing a severe test,

02:06as to when Christmas will be.

02:08I hope that we will be able to distribute Christmas gifts to them.

02:15They are in need and they are suffering.

02:18The President of the United States has also provided $1 million for the USAID and World Food Program.

02:27who will meet with the President this afternoon at the palace,

02:32Austin also said that the U.S. military is ready to help.
