00:00According to DILG Secretary John Vic Remulia,
00:03the implementation of pre-emptive evacuation in areas affected by the Super Typhoon Pepito is a big success story
00:11due to the rapid implementation of pre-emptive evacuation in the residents of Catanduanes.
00:18No one is home in the area even though the wind is very strong and the water level is high.
00:22Secretary Remulia also gave the importance of pre-emptive evacuation and coordination of LGUs and agencies
00:28such as the DSWD, OCD and PNP to provide assistance to the affected areas.
00:34Secretary Remulia urged the public to be serious about pre-emptive evacuation to avoid the loss of their lives.
00:43For me, this is a very good success story
00:46that we can see from lessons from Christine that we did not leave it early.
00:53In the five following typhoons, we had almost no casualties as compared to Christine.
