00:00Hi everyone, Daniel here from Nottingham World. I'm here at the minute at Nottingham's Winter
00:07Wonderland in Old Market Square and if you stick around I'll show you about.
00:10If I can just try and turn the camera around.
00:13So this is the first day, first full day of the Winter Wonderland here in Old Market Square.
00:25Opened yesterday at half four and as you can see it's getting quite a bit darker now so
00:30a lot of people are coming out to have a look around.
00:54So this here is where Debenhams used to be so you can see all the stalls just down here.
01:08I think there must have been a power cut down here because there's no lights on. A bit weird.
01:36As you can see there you've got some basketball competitions so you can win one of them cuddly toy things.
01:43Some more games. Ferrero Rocher stall, very nice.
01:57So how about that for a view. The big wheel with the council house right behind it.
02:08Some sweets in there.
02:25Ice rink there. Don't know whether I'd have a go at that but some people are seeing how they're getting on.
02:37Loads of different food stalls. No matter how picky you are there'll definitely be something for you to eat here.

03:05That's the big wheel there. Not too many people on it at the moment but I'm sure as the evening goes on there'll be a lot more people going for a little spin.

04:58So I can see we've got nearly 100 people in here now so in case you haven't worked out by now I'm at Nottingham's Winter Wonderland here in Old Market Square for its first full day.
05:25So if you haven't visited Winter Wonderland yet give us a little shout in the comments, tell us what you enjoy, what you think could improve, general thoughts.
05:54Yeah it's definitely been some sort of power cut because the stalls up here aren't really lit up but there you go, head back to Old Market Square.
06:18I must admit it is kind of weird for it to be only the 14th of November and hearing Christmas songs already.
06:47So this year's Winter Wonderland does run until the end of December so like I said this is only the first day so if you haven't managed to get down yet you've still got plenty of time to do that.
07:12And as darkness has fallen it does look really nice, all the lights, Christmas stalls, coconut macaroons in there.
07:42All sorts of Christmas hats and gloves and things there, very nice.
08:11Bratburst there.
08:25Candy floss.
08:42They say that all of the activities here that you can do including the ice skating can all be booked online so I think that's what people have been advised to do rather than come down and be disappointed that it's all booked out.
08:56Get it booked online and then you've got the peace of mind of coming down here and you're all booked in.
09:06Toasted marshmallows there.
09:16And yeah here you go if you do come down and not really sure what you want to do you can have a look through this.
09:23So you've got ice rink, ice bar, observation wheel and you can book all the tickets on there.

09:41Just do a couple more laps then I'll leave you to it.
09:47I think I've been round more or less everything.
09:53So I can see there's over 200 people in here now so thanks to everyone who's joined.
10:00Should be pretty obvious where I am but just in case not I'm at the Nottingham Winter Wonderland here in Old Market Square.
10:13As you can see there's so many different food stalls, craft stalls, places to get drinks, sweets, all sorts.
10:29I'll just walk in front of the council house just to see if there's anything special going on there.
10:43Some of the Christmas lights on already.
10:52And you've still got the performers over there.
11:22So yeah I'll just give you one more little look in the middle of the Winter Wonderland then I'll probably end the video.
11:44You've had a good look at everything that's here, all the stalls.
11:50And like I say it is open until the end of December so plenty of time to come down here and have a little look for yourself.
12:04I can see there's 225 people in here now so anyone who's missed the start of the video this will be available on the Nottingham World Facebook page after.
12:13So just head there and you'll be able to watch the video right from the start if you didn't catch when I began just over there.
12:34One last view of the big wheel. It's really good all lit up now that it's getting dark.
