00:00We're in, I suppose, what you might call the epicentre, almost the brain of your dad, Eric
00:07Morecambe. This is his study. It is. This is where he kept all bits that were relevant to him,
00:14the books, the joke books, things like that. And this is where he used to write at this very desk
00:19and his typewriter, still in its case under his work here. All to be included in this cell as
00:25well. Reading glasses, a dictaphone over there as well. I can even see just over here, of course,
00:31his great passion for Luton Town Football Club. Yes, and the lamp. What's so personal being up
00:38close? Are these notes and scripts and writings going? Just incredible, you know, and all his
00:44own handwriting. So he's got loads of stuff, probably a book maybe here, certainly a script.
00:49I can see her and his name mentioned on one page up here. And then he's got speeches that he's
00:55written. Yeah, absolutely wonderful stuff. I mean, what's this down here, by the way? That was
01:00what he used to do his home footage on, filming family and stuff, as we grew up. And even in the
01:05wardrobe over there, there's old jackets. Yeah, that's some musical outfit he would have worn,
01:10tails. Is that a top hat down there? Yes, and the top hat, which was, that would go back even further,
01:15probably to his childhood. And the clothes hanging on the door, of course, they're all significant
01:20from different times in his life. I can see down here, this image here. That looks like 1953,
01:27Black Bull, towels in the background, Ernie, Eric there. Absolutely wonderful. I mean, what about
01:33capturing a moment in time, that is? I think capturing a moment in time here, and being in
01:38this room and seeing awards, inscriptions, it's remarkable what's been retained. And I think what,
01:45for collectors, will be a real celebration of Eric's career. What would Eric say when I might
01:52say going, going, gone? What do you think? Rubbish. No, let's hope not.
