00:00A travel forecast is one with probably three or four different areas to be concerned about.
00:11We have snow in the upper Midwest, a powerhouse storm across the West.
00:15We still have a front with Tropical Rainstorm Sarah, a former tropical storm, bringing some
00:20extra thunderstorms to Florida.
00:22And we have some showers moving through parts of the Great Lakes and into the interior Northeast.
00:26So a lot of areas with minor delays.
00:29In the case of Dallas and Atlanta, we're mainly just concerned about wind, but we can still
00:32see some delays associated with that in these high-volume airports.
00:35Showers of rain in Chicago, scattered thunderstorms in Miami, a little snow into Minneapolis,
00:39and we have the rain showers into Seattle.
00:41In the Northwest, lots of activity up this way.
00:44Rain's going to be steadier for a chunk of the day in Portland.
00:47Strong wind in Northern California.
00:49Showers of rain and snow mixed in Boise.
00:52And after a quiet morning, we'll get into some showers in the afternoon into Reno, Nevada.
00:55In the Southwest, San Francisco's by far the standout here, with widespread rain, the
01:00wind picking up, and certainly some minor delays, if not even worse than that.
01:05You head up into Northern California, major delays through I-5 there.
01:08Up into the Midwest and the Plains, the Plains is especially windy in Bismarck.
01:13Slight snow here into areas around Minneapolis, so we have accumulating snow into Fargo and
01:17Grand Forks.
01:18Windy in Omaha, breezy in Kansas City, and we're breezy as well into Casper.
01:22A lot of wind across that part of the nation.
01:24Down to the South as well.
01:26Bright weather, but breezy, with minor flight delays for the South Central U.S. in each
01:31of those areas.
01:32Into the Southeast, we're windy, if not breezy, into Nashville and Atlanta.
01:36Scattered storms associated with the Front and Raleigh, showers in Jacksonville, thunderstorms
01:40into Miami.
01:41We're also dealing with some showers and rain into the Midwest, the Lower Great Lakes.
01:45Buffalo will see some of this late in the day after a quiet start.
01:48Some clouds farther north, but we're going to have showers return late in the day into
01:52Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
01:54So a lot of problem spots here.
01:56The number of flight cancellations will spike on Thursday and Friday.
