00:00Okay, so we have Alana Springsteen here.
00:03Hi.
00:03Beautiful lady of the night.
00:05What's up?
00:06So, you have some new music coming out?
00:09I do, yeah.
00:10Tell us about that.
00:11So, I released my debut album last year, which kind of introduced me to this incredible community.
00:17I think a lot of times in life we can feel alone in what we're going through,
00:20but writing has always been my therapy.
00:22I write about what I go through and putting those songs out and realizing that I'm not alone
00:27and I have this community that's gone through the same things we're getting through it together.
00:30It was so healing.
00:31And I've just kind of doubled down on that.
00:33I'm trying to get more honest, more personal with this next album.
00:37It's amazing.
00:38We've already started releasing songs off of it, but it's just the beginning, so I can't wait.
00:43I wish I could say more, but there's so many surprises coming and so much coming,
00:47and I've definitely had a lot of inspiration to pull from.
00:49Just say that.
00:50Amazing.
00:51And we just want to check on you.
00:53How are you doing after the bus situation, with it catching on fire?
00:58Yeah, you know, it was definitely something that was super scary.
01:02But at the end of the day, things are replaceable, people aren't,
01:06and God was watching out for us, and we all got off safe and okay,
01:09and we're back on the road.
01:11So, it's really good to just be back out doing what we love.
01:14Absolutely.
01:15In some ways, it brought us closer together, too.
01:17You know, when you go through something hard with people, it's just bonding in some ways,
01:22and you realize how much of a family this community is.
01:26I think you feel it on the carpet, too, running into friends.
01:28We're all just truly supporting each other, cheering each other on.
01:32I had so many people reach out and go, how can I help?
01:34Do you need gear? Do you need guitars?
01:36What can we do?
01:38It's just a family.
01:39That's so amazing, and I've definitely felt that.
01:41You were talking about bonding, and I want to ask you about,
01:44what is sisterhood like in a country music scene?
01:46I want to know who has inspired you the most,
01:49and if you feel supported by other country artists so much.
01:52I think the women are killing it.
01:54I mean, Lainey Wilson, I love every song she puts out.
01:58I love watching her live, and her just doing her thing.
02:01There's so many songwriters that I look up to that have had incredible years,
02:04like Traini Anderson.
02:06I've written with her since I was 15, 16 years old,
02:08and she's just had her first couple of number ones this year,
02:11and I'm so proud of her.
02:13Also, just watching all the collaborations that are happening,
02:17and people kind of bending genres, like Post Malone.
02:19I love that he released a country album.
02:21I'm obsessed with all of the songs.
02:23I can't wait to see what him and Chris Stapleton do,
02:26but it just speaks to the genre,
02:28and how people all over the world are finding it,
02:30and falling in love with it, and inspired by it.
02:32So I love the ways it's changing,
02:34and I love the ways it's staying the same.
02:36Well, I can't wait to see who you collaborate with next.
02:38Thank you, Michael.
02:40I actually just put out a song with Tiesto.
02:42That's right!
02:44I just found out it's number one on the dance charts right now,
02:47so it's technically my first number one.
02:49I would have never expected that it would be on the dance charts,
02:51but again, it just speaks to the genre,
02:53and what's happening in country music.
02:55Exactly.
02:57All the collaborations are awesome.
02:59Yeah, congratulations on that.
03:01That's huge. It's a crossover genre.
03:03That's amazing. What's the name of the song?
03:05It's called Hot Honey. Y'all go check it out.
03:07Amazing. Thank you for chatting with us.
03:09Thank you for having me.
