00:15Green Day kicked off the show with their 2009 track Last Night on Earth,
00:20bringing out fellow artist Billie Eilish to perform.
00:30The actor and comedian Billy Crystal then took the stage after Green Day to officially welcome
00:36the crowd and shared his personal experience of evacuating the fires and losing his home
00:41in the Palisades fire. Miles Teller, later in the night, also shared how he and his wife lost
00:46their Palisades home. The crowd got a big surprise from Anderson .Paak in the form of a special
00:51appearance of legendary rapper Dr. Dre, who performed his and Tupac's 1995 hit, California
00:57Love. Gracie Abrams, who grew up in the Palisades, was joined by the Nationals' Aaron
01:08Destner for a performance of her recent hit, I Love You, I'm Sorry. And Olivia Rodrigo gave
01:14a commanding performance of her debut hit, Driver's License.
01:18The crowd also proved to be star-studded as former Vice President Kamala Harris and her
01:31husband Doug Emhoff were both in attendance. Other performances included everyone from
01:36Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, and among others, even a surprise Nirvana reunion.
01:47Jimmy Kimmel then introduced the night's final performer, Lady Gaga, who closed the
02:00show with two songs from A Star Is Born, Shallow and Always Remember Us This Way.
