00:04seventh time for the Vocal Group of the Year. Yes. Can you believe that? Yes and no.
00:09Yes and no. No, I totally understand. No, we can't. But no, in one way, I mean we worked really, really,
00:19really hard at this for a really long time, so in that aspect, yeah, we can
00:23believe it. We have, we feel a lot of love from our fans and from the community.
00:28It's been a really amazing ride. The fact that we got that far is what is hard to
00:33believe. Right, so I remember reading articles about how you guys have said
00:37that you haven't been able to pay your water bill like early in the early days.
00:40Oh yeah, still sometimes today too, but that's the business manager's fault. People just forget at that point.
00:48No, those were lean days, man. We were all struggling just like every
00:54other artist that moves here, every other writer that moves to Nashville that just
00:57has to dig their heels in and do whatever it takes, no matter how hard it
01:02gets, because you just love it so much and that's what we were doing. Yeah, and I
01:05mean, those are, I mean, you know, you're looking back, of course, it's always,
01:08those are some of the best times. I mean, you're just staying up all night, meeting
01:13people, playing songs, you know, everyone's pushing each other and it's
01:17it's an important, it's a special time. Absolutely, absolutely. And what about you guys? Is there any advice that you
01:25would give to new emerging artists since you guys have been so established
01:29and you are like the vocal group that everyone is watching? Is there anything
01:32that you would give advice on? Yeah, well, sorry, a couple, I mean, a couple things.
01:36First of all, is just be true to yourself and don't chase the radio and don't
01:40chase what you think you're supposed to sound like. Do things that excite you
01:45because if you're excited about it and you're writing your favorite song, it'll
01:48translate, you know, to somebody else. And it's been 10 years since you released
01:53your EP, right? Yeah. Yeah, so how have you guys stayed connected and as like, as a
02:00group and just stayed like formed in a tight-knit since then? I mean, you know,
02:05luckily, we are friends, you know what I mean? It's like we crack each other up
02:10and it's just, all we do is laugh and I don't know why that is, but we just
02:15happen to get along. We were that way before the band, so maybe that's it. Yeah, you guys
02:19were just friends already and it made it easy and especially traveling together
02:23so much. Yeah. Do you have something to say on that? Oh, no. I mean, it's just, it's been a beautiful ride with these guys.
02:28It's so great to have this friendship. You guys are incredible. You're some of my
02:33favorite artists. I have you guys on repeat, so a big fan here.
