Bears QB Caleb Williams corrects some false assumptions being made about what Thomas Brown did to their offense last week in the 20-19 loss to Green Bay.
Transcript
00:00No, Thomas didn't encourage me to run more.
00:09He just encouraged me to get the ball to my guys and be efficient in those ways.
00:15And then from there, do that well.
00:17And then, you know, if they want to play a certain defense or play me a certain way
00:22and leave lanes open, I do have legs and I can run.
00:26And so, you know, take advantage of that to be able to help my team win and move on from there.
00:33That's the only goal of myself when I walk into a game is find ways to be able to keep us on the field,
00:41find ways to be efficient, find ways to help this offense score and help this team win.
00:48And so if I have to run a little bit more, if I have to drop back and throw the ball,
00:52if I have to hand the ball off 40 times, you know, it is what it is.
00:56I think the decisiveness, I think all of that came from, one, our meetings and how we're going to do things.
01:04I think it came from being able to get play calls in faster and being able to get up there
01:10and not feel like you're rushed or not feel like, you know, you need to hurry up and get the ball,
01:17snap and things like that.
01:19I think all of these small things, details of routes, details of, you know, the blocking,
01:28details of the path of running backs and how we're going to do things,
01:32I think that led into all of what happened last week.
01:38It didn't simplify the offense.
01:41I think it's still the same.
