00:00The Department of Agriculture promised that the public can expect a sufficient supply of pork during the holiday season.

00:25Just now, the Department of Agriculture and a group of hog producers promised a sufficient supply of pork during the upcoming Christmas season.

00:34I think we have enough, we have enough supply.

00:37Actually, I was looking at the import numbers the other day,

00:41and it turns out there's 10% more importation of pork this year than last year.

00:47We did a computation, so we make sure the past two months, three months, that we are ready for the season of December.

00:55In the price monitoring of the DA, it increased by 10 to 25 pesos per kilo of pork.

01:02It is said that the price of pork increases during the holiday season.

01:06But the DA is stingy.

01:08There's a lot of supply that came to the pier, so it should stabilize.

01:14The DA is eager to distribute the ASF vaccine.

01:1810,000 vaccines have already been administered.

01:21It is intended to protect the pigs against ASF and to prevent the spread of diseases to animals.

01:28The Bureau of Animal Industry has already ordered the establishment of quarantine stations in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

01:54Starting next year, the Agriculture Council is expected to conduct a regular survey.

01:59This is conducted by DA officials, farmers, fishermen, and stakeholders in the industry.

02:06The major task of the council is to discuss every single major crop every month,

02:15not only when there is an issue, but also when they will go to the DA.
