00:00Rod's someone that has a great affection for this city, both because he's a football fanatic
00:06but this is a man that could be anywhere but chooses to have this relationship with Glasgow.
00:11I wonder what you think Rod Stewart finds in Glasgow that he finds reassuring and brings
00:16him back?
00:17I think it's probably similar to Shane, I think it's the people. I think that Rod comes
00:23here a lot as you know, the music, the people, the football, and he just loves it. I think
00:30it's just people in general, obviously it's well documented he's a huge Celtic fan, but
00:36the Rangers fans give him a wee bit of grief when it's in good patter and good fun, and
00:41I think he likes that, he just likes the banter basically. He can come here and he loves doing
00:49photos with people and he always says if that stops then he's in trouble, but he never
00:54gets harangued by people, people are genuinely happy to see him and he's happy to see them.
00:59So he comes and spends a lot of time here, he loves it, he stays in the Radisson Mead
01:03Hotel, he loves this as well, everybody here's really nice to him. I think where it's less
01:10celebrity driven in Glasgow, you know it's weird, it's like people come, they want to
01:15be a nod, maybe want a photo, but that's it, they're not going to try and hang about
01:20all day or that, so I think he definitely likes that, and he likes the culture, and
01:24he likes the vibe, just a good vibe, and the music, he loves new bands and stuff as well,
01:29so he's always asking about all those kind of things.
01:32Is that him actually playing in the background?
01:34It might be, I'm thinking is that the face he's playing?
01:37That's amazing timing.
